The client is a doctor & researcher at John Hopkins Research Institutes and Medical Centres, who wanted to create a platform that should contain all the medical information of a patient on mobile, locally, with the feature to share the reports over mail. Before the client approached us with this idea, he found that patients were struggling to manage their data and wanted to create a platform to help them organize it.
Get all your medical records conveniently on mobile without worrying about the confidentiality.
Since this app stores medical & healthcare data, it was very important to maintain confidentiality and security of the medical records.
IIMA was a mobile application created specifically to record medical information of the patients and save it on the patient’s device for complete confidentiality. It also allowed sharing of medical records of the patients through mails. However, to ensure confidentiality, the development team had to store the data locally on the respective patients’ mobile so that the information could be secured and destroyed easily. Third party integration wasn’t the choice to store the patients’ medical records though, because it may have caused a security breach. Thus, an android application was developed by our team that sorted the patient’s information and stored it locally on their mobiles.
